GREEN HOTEL - Sustainability of the Hotel&Resort
The Resort offers secure jobs and thus makes an important economic and social contribution to the region.
Contributions to sustainable tourism can be found everywhere on the facility, for example through
- Solar system for cooling and heating of hotel rooms
- Thermal insulation of buildings for a very good energy balance
- Modern water treatment
- Use of biological detergents and eco-cleaners
- Sustainable disposal of waste (separation and recycling)
- Use of electric vehicles at the resort
- Sustainable products and using organic food
- Regional products
- Avoidance of plastics in the food & beverage outlets, e.g. through:
o Organic jam in jars
o Reusable glass bottles in restaurants and bars
o Refillable shower gels & soap in the bathrooms of hotel rooms, apartments and villas - Protection and care of the over 1,100 trees of the centuries-old pine forest on the area. Every tree is registered!
The bay is one of the cleanest on the Adriatic coast. Flora and fauna are unique and carefully protected. The hotel provides a rare natural habitat and thus contributes to wildlife conservation.

IS CERTIFIED BY WHITEFLAG INTERNATIONAL
The White Flag Certified Safe Marine Areas (CSMAs) represent the purest and cleanest oceans, lakes, and rivers that are physically cleaned of plastic and other marine litter. Since starting in Monaco (2012) with H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco has managed Whiteflag International to become the world’s most respected symbol and brand for the cleanest, plastic-free areas and safe zones for residents and tourists, but also for aquatic and sensitive marine life. With its unique concept and high standards, hundreds of marine areas have been cleaned of plastic and marine litter. These locations are categorized as White Flag Certified Safe Marine Areas (CSMAs). The White Flag holders directly support the protection of the world’s oceans, lakes and rivers through local cleanups. A percentage of the profit from each White Flag goes directly to GUWAA (Global Underwater Awareness Association), a non-profit NGO that works to cleanse water around the world.
When you stay at a whiteflag institution, you participate directly in the protection and cleaning program for oceans, lakes and rivers.
